Adam Krause has represented thousands of individuals against some of the largest corporations in the world. He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law with an emphasis in trial practice and litigation. Early on in Adam’s career he made it a point to learn from the very best in the business.  Adam spent three weeks at the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer’s College in Dubois, Wyoming.  During this time, he worked vigorously on learning how to try cases from Gerry Spence—who is often considered the best trial lawyer of all time.

Landowners hold a special spot in Adam’s heart.  Specifically, he emphasizes his practice on representing those whose land is being taken by the government.  “Many times, a place of business, a home, or a piece of land is the biggest asset in my client’s life.  They don’t know what to do, and that is where I come in.  I make sure they get paid what the land is really worth and not some cheap discount,” says Adam.

Adam has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star.  This prestigious award is given to only 2.5% of lawyers practicing within the state. Adam is currently representing nearly 1,000 landowners in a lawsuit against a large chemical company that improperly introduced a genetically modified trait into the market causing the price of corn to drop across the United States.

“I’ve spent more time in a year on farm properties than most lawyers will in a lifetime.  I know how much land means to people.  I know it isn’t just the dirt below someone’s feet.  It comes with emotion, memories, and angst.” Adam has worked on cases in more than 15 states involving landowners and knows the importance of getting his clients paid the money they deserve.

Adam is committed to working with families, businesses, shopping centers, farms, and any other clients relating to eminent domain law.  We hire the best land appraisers who can give a complete analysis on how much a property is worth.  Regardless if it is a residential, commercial, agricultural or industrial property we approach the case the same way: analyze the situation, create a plan and fully execute.

One of the pillars of the Krause & Kinsman Law firm is to give back to the community.  We make sure that we are involved in at least one community service or philanthropy event every single month. This past year we have participated in the Walk to End Alzheimers, Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk, Ronald McDonald house, Operation Breakthrough, UMKC Law Foundation and many other charities.

When Adam is not in the courtroom he spends his time in Okoboji, Iowa on the lake or with his dog Charlee.  He also enjoys scuba diving, sailing, and doing other outdoor activities.
