Robert Kinsman is a founding partner of the Krause and Kinsman Law Firm and has committed his practice to protecting the rights of people and their loved ones. He was born and raised in the Kansas City area. Although his family members have been dedicated to careers that concentrate on enriching the lives of everyday people, Robert is a first-generation attorney. Throughout his life, Robert has not only enjoyed interacting with the people of his community, but he has been devoted to being a voice for others when they need it most. The heart of his practice consists of advocating for people when they have been wronged.
Robert’s political science background established his belief that the 5th Amendment’s proclamation that no person be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law is fundamental to every American no matter his or her background. He is dedicated to fighting for landowners so their property, their livelihood, is not taken without just compensation. Robert is zealous in providing his clients with the necessary strategy that maximizes their property’s value.
Whether he is representing a residential landowner or a commercial business, Robert understands the importance of his client’s property. Residential landowners cherish their property, or their homes, because it is a place where they have made life-long memories, created roots for their family, or proudly purchased after years of hard work. Business owners care deeply about their land because it is a place they can look at and realize all the challenges it took them to create. No matter the type of landowner, Robert understands their life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is at stake when they are forced into a governmental taking.
Robert has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star. This prestigious award is given to only 2.5% of lawyers practicing within the state. He was also named one of the “Up and Coming” Lawyers in 2016 by Missouri Lawyers Weekly. Robert is currently representing nearly 1,000 landowners in a lawsuit against a large chemical company that improperly introduced a genetically modified trait into the market causing the price of corn to drop across the United States.
Robert earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law with an emphasis in trial practice and litigation. Prior to law school, Robert studied Political Science and Business Administration at Pittsburg State University. He is currently an active member of the Missouri Bar, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, and serves on KCMBA’s Young Lawyers Section. In his spare time, Robert spends time with his family and friends, while enjoying all the unique activities Kansas City has to offer.
